Which psychiatric services are available at the Nirman Nagar clinic?

Consultations and diagnosis, medication management, psychotherapy and CBT, child and adolescent psychiatry, de-addiction treatment, couples and family counselling, psychosexual consultations, perinatal and geriatric psychiatry, and second opinions. Hospital-based care is provided at Narayana Hospital.

Do I have to take medicines if I see a psychiatrist?

No. A psychiatrist can offer therapy, counselling and lifestyle guidance as well as medication. Medicines are suggested only when they are likely to help, and you are part of every decision.

How often are follow-up appointments?

It depends on your plan. Early in treatment, follow-ups are usually every one to four weeks; once you are stable, they become less frequent. Therapy sessions are often weekly for a set number of sessions.

Can family members attend the consultation?

Yes, if you would like them to. Family members are especially helpful for children, teenagers, older adults, and conditions such as addiction, bipolar disorder and psychosis. You can also choose to be seen alone.

Taking the first step is the hardest part. We’ll make the rest easier.

Whether you’re facing stress, anxiety, depression or any emotional challenge, help is one conversation away.
